Mandaza Kandemwa is returning to Boston and will be with us here in Jamaica Plain on Columbus
Day. What better day to honor his Indigenous Wisdom.
We are planning on having a children's blessing around 3pm, and other gatherings in the day,
a potluck at 7pm and another ceremony after dinner. The whole event runs from 1pm until 9:30.

Mandaza is an amazing healer visiting from Zimbabwe, known for his work with ancestors, water, dreams,
children and community gatherings called Dare.

His work supports his village and his orphanage back in Zimbabwe.

One on one sessions will be available with Mandaza here at the hbC on Tuesday day and evening as well.
contact: Jason@heARTBeatCollective.org.
This event hosted by the hbC is being made possible with the partnership and work of Allison Wonderland.

Mandaza Kandemwa
African shaman, healer, peacemaker

About Mandaza
Mandaza is a spirit medium and medicine man from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He was initiated through the tradition of the njuzu, the water spirits, and carries the Central African spiritual tradition of healing and peacemaking. He is known internationally for his loving presence and for his preservation of the old ways. He stands for Truth, Love, Justice and Peace in this world.
A former anti-apartheid activist, Mandaza has offered his life in service to Spirit. As corruption consumes the culture of his homeland, Mandaza is answering Spirit’s call to revive and practice the ancient ways of Africa. Through his own deep spiritual work, Mandaza has become an honored and trusted elder. He provides much needed shelter, guidance and hope for his people. He is a generous teacher and healer with magnificent gifts and an entourage of spirits; a man of profound laughter and wisdom.

Mandaza shares an ancient and enduring tradition that is fully adaptive to each new moment. This practice is called Dare’ (dah-ray). Dare’ is a gathering of community to give and receive healing and, between us, to find our way on the path of peacemaking. Dare’ occurs when all members of the community- human and non-human, visible and invisible- are invited to gather with intention. Mandaza brings the practice of Dare’ to communities around the world as an act of service and compassion.

Supporting Mandaza & His Community
Each year, Mandaza leaves his home and family in Zimbabwe to share his healing energy and wisdom within our modern Western culture. These journeys create a bridge of compassion and support between our distinct cultures, as we understand each other more deeply. Mandaza serves a large community in Zimbabwe that is dependent on him for food, clothing, education, healing and spiritual nourishment.  Challenges are considerable as the people of Zimbabwe experience starvation, AIDS, HIV, drought, economic scarcity, unemployment and an seriously corrupt government. Donations given are to support Mandaza's work, family and community. The money that Mandaza earns while in the USA is the sole support for his family and community in Zimbabwe. Please be generous.

Tatenda…
means “we thank you” in Shona, Mandaza’s native language.

Donations for Mandaza can be made through Tatenda, a project of the International Humanities Center, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Together, we can offer Mandaza's community a great gift by donating generously while he is here. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to Mandaza for the support of his community.

Please make checks payable to IHC/Tatenda
