Eating for Immune Strength: 7pm-8:30, Wed., May 23rd,
This class is ideal for anyone who would like to make colds, flus, and more serious disease conditions a thing of the past. We will be discussing the ways to become savvy with diet and avoid the very common pitfalls that drag down the immune system. We’ll also discuss potent natural medicinals that can be used to prevent or reverse illness.
Participants will learn:
-What is the single most immune-blocking food, consumed daily by most Americans, which shuts down the immune system for 5 full hours following its consumption
Boston School of Herbal Studies Jamaica Plain Apprenticeship
Students get hands-on experience making tinctures, teas, salves, oils, herbal sprays, and flower essences, etc., and are exposed to such various herbal traditions as Chinese, Ayurveda, and Western Herbalism. Each month we cover a different body system and the herbs that nourish and support it. We focus on plant identification and so medicinal plant walks each weekend.

Join the Children of the Earth Foundation as they guide us through the elements of wilderness survival and nature awareness. We will learn to make fire without matches, expand our senses through the ancient art of tracking, and how understanding the language of the birds will teach us volumes about our surroundings in both the wilderness and our urban environment.
