DRUM DANCE AND SING
Drummers are welcome to bring their drums and join in the circle of drumming!
Vocalists, Spoken word artists are welcome to speak words truth or add song!
Dancers and everyone invited to dance!
$5-10 suggested donation
all ages races cultures and sexual identities are welcome
-if you are inexperienced, hold the heartbeat and follow the lead of some of the master drummers who will be present!
-if you have a melodic instrument you would like to add, bring it! just leave space for all the other sounds of the night
-snack and drink donations are encouraged!
Forestdance Costa Rica
It's time to say "yes" my friends.
Come join our family as we share in deep and profound celebration of our lives together. Here on sacred land, under the holy Ceibo Tree, where the scent of the Ylang Ylang flowers and the sound the Cicada, and the howl of the monkey, remind us just how alive we can be together.
We will be in ceremony for three full nights, maybe even four, around the fire, in the Diamante Valley, just above the Baru water fall.

We'll be celebrating with a Drum, Dance and Sing event, on Friday night,
a ceremony in the back yard and in the Sun Room on Saturday night,

8th Sacred Fire Fundraiser with Incus, Kalimba Sound System, and Kali Das at Earthlands
The 8th Sacred Fire Gathering is a profound event that occurs on the beautiful land known as Earthlands Preserve. Put on by the Sacred Earth Network, the event involved bringing Native Elders together with folks into sustainability and earth based spirituality. It was a profound weekend for many who attended.

Join us as we honor those that have come before us, in song, story, prayers, meditation.
Please arrive between 7 and 7:30 pm, as we will be going into sacred space shortly thereafter, and the gates will be closed until 11. At 11, the ritual will end, the gates will open and those who wish to stay longer are invited to sit down together for a pot-luck meal.
heARTbeat Work Weekend at Wyman St.
hi friends,
We're having a work weekend over here at 35 Wyman St. We heard it might rain at 4pm on Saturday, so we're starting at 10am. Please bring yourself some work gloves if you can. We'll be supplying lunch of course.
The plan is to work on Saturday and Sunday, from around 10am to 4 or 5pm dependign on weather. Here are some of the projects we'll be working on:
Weeding
Moving the sand and clay pile
Tilling- That's right, we have a serious tiller coming on the land tomorrow
Chipping- We borrowed a wood chipper from Jeff at Treeworks in JP. Thanks Jeff.

Back to basics! Classes are resuming at the Heartbeat Collective in Jamaica Plain. The first class will be an introductory to herbalism.
Topics of discussion will include:

*Herbal classifications
*Tinctures, infusions, decoctions..etc
*Common and useful plants
*Preparing herbs at home

Afro Latin Shakedown Dance Class with Natalie Gelman at Spontaneous Celebrations
Afro Latin Shakedown
Participants in Natalie’s dance class will explore the vocabularies of sacred traditional and contemporary dances of the African Diaspora. Honoring the collective soul and the body’s intelligence, we will dialogue through freestyle movement with sensual and sizzling rhythms from Brazil, Haiti, Cuba and Africa. In tune with natural elements and where they reside in the body, we will celebrate cultural expression with fresh and exciting movement and choreography that will guarantee to uplift, inform and inspire.
