Cacao Ceremony
Cacao Ceremony!
The ceremony is about taking the time to slow down and focus our
intention on our inner landscape. Cacao is used as an assistant to
help facilitate this process as it opens the heart and adds energy to
your intentions. Within a framework of non-attainment, we allow life
to unfold organically through us, letting layers of belief and pain
from childhood to fall away. As this happens, there is more space for
the stillness of life to show up. We will drink cacao, play with the
energies and take the time to simply be ourselves and let the world be
Drum, Dance, and Sing, every 2nd Friday
Drummers are welcome to bring their drums and join in the circle of drumming!
Vocalists and Spoken word artists are welcome to speak words of truth or add song!
Instrumentalists are welcome to join the short jam in the middle.
Come and dance your dance! Come and Speak your Truth!
$5-10 suggested donation
We welcome diversity of age, race, culture, and sexual orientation.

Masks have been worn in nearly all cultures, for various reasons, since the Stone Age. Masks have been worn as a form of disguise, by an actor in a performance, as part of a religious ceremony, as part of membership in a secret society, as punishment for a criminal or in celebration of a holiday.

This weekend opening will kick off a monthly Market Day held at the heARTbeat, bringing community, livelihood and unique gifts together. Items will be on display throughout the weekend so stop by and check us out.

We are effected by our experiences and form beliefs around the events and circumstances that take place in our lives. We carry these stories in our bodies, not realizing their weight and toxicity, which in turn causes the body to become imbalanced, and opens the door to a number of illnesses.

Come join our family as we share in deep and profound celebration of our lives together. Here on sacred land,
at the foothils of the Talamanca Mountain range, on the Rio (River) Pedregosa, where the scent of the wild flowers and the sound the Cicada, remind us just how alive we can be together.
We will be in ceremony for three full nights, and for part of a fourth, around the fire.
Thaayrohyadi of the Council of Otomi Toltec Elders and Wisdom Keepers
Founder of the International Indigenous University, Thaayrohyadi is an elder and a traditional healer who travels internationally offering teachings and ceremonies in the ways of his ancestors. He is on the “Pilgrimage to the Four Directions for the Healing of Mother Earth” in preparation for the “8000 Sacred Drums for Peace” healing ceremony to take place at the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Temoaya, Mexico on the Spring Equinox of 2011.

Body Reading and Core Energetics Work: More often than not when someone has a problem or concern it is talked out. However, all of our emotions and chronic issues are stored in the body. This workshop is designed to help you be able to better read how energy moves in the body as well as provide an opportunity to move these issues through Core Energetics processes.

Mz. Imani "they dreamt of us" cd listening party
This Friday evening, come and join us at Spontaneous Celebrations as we kick off Drum, Dance and Sing with a listening party with Mz. Imani. Donations for Drum, Dance and Sing will cover admission to this pre-event that kicks off at 8pm.
Mz. imani has been walking the path of the drum for nearly 25 years, and is one of the
women who diligently worked to make drumming accessible to her sis-stars. Mz. imani
has been trained in drumming, shamanism, singing, fire ceremony and collaborative art
by many. One of her primary mentors being Babatunde Olatunji, she is committed to

Full Moon Gathering
Join us as we gather for the Hunter's Moon. We'll share from our hearts and reflect on the time of the harvest and abundance,
on what and how we've grown, and on the thinning of the veil, and the honoring of our ancestors.
We honor the Full Moon a night early on Thursday, October 21st.
Each month we gather in some way to celebrate this time on or close to when our light in the night shines it's brightest. Check back monthly for more details pertaining to the Full Moon Gatherings.
