Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound, was not only one of the earliest forms of Yoga but may also be the most powerful. Like the postures of Hatha Yoga affect our perception of movement, body and sense of self, Nada Yoga also affects are perception of consciousness, reality, and self.

Sound, the vibrations we perceive with our ears, as well as our bodies, has unlimited potential for helping us realize harmony on this planet.
The Ancient Yogis or Rishis (seers) uncovered some of the mysteries and power of sound in the form of mantra. The vibrations of these mystical sound patterns have been used for thousands of years to focus the mind, open the heart or expand consciousness. In this introductory workshop we explore some of the fascinating principles, and uses of sound for awakening and creating yoga (union). Participants will learn and become comfortable with some Sanskrit mantras and practices (INCLUDING KIRTAN!) that not only assist us in coping with every day stress, but can be used for accessing deeper or hidden parts of our own potential, awakening the awareness of our divine nature
Come experience the power and bliss available to us through this amazing use of sound!

JoJo Silverman, has been studying yoga, meditation, holistic health, music, chanting, hand percussion, and fire keeping for over 15 years. Using sound for the exploration of our consciousness to connect hearts and minds is his mission and gift.

JoJo created the Devotional Music Foundation in 1999 to promote the sacredness of all music as a force for healing our planet. Since then, he has been leading kirtans and chanting workshops internationally.
In 2008 he released Bhagavan Kripa: A Kirtan of Grace, a tribute to Swami Kripalu. Later that year he finished developing Prayerful Resonance Chant Activation, a special chant modality using both prayer and sound.
In 2009 he created the Sonic Sacred Star Garden Temple, a hexagram shaped vegetable chanting garden, as a model for creating new relationships to music, the plant world, and the food we grow.
JoJo believes strongly in the power of prayer and sound for healing, and dedicates his life to the practice of these arts. He is currently spending time in Asheville NC, focusing on his activation work.
